Step 5: The Scar and Final Result

Diagram Showing After Scar and Results of Brow Lift SurgeryAfter a mini brow lift in Colorado, the scar is left at the hairline over the eye trailing into the hair over the sideburn. Although all scars are permanent, this scar is inconspicuous. Even in women that wear their hair pulled back or a short hair style, this scar is not noticeable.

By design, the forehead is not elongated, and the outer brow is elevated to a natural and youthful position. The brows gain a slight arch, the lateral hooding is decreased, and more of the upper lids are visible which "opens up" the eyes.

Mini-browlift compared to traditional coronal browlift or endoscopic browlift:

The final scar created from a traditional coronal browlift extends from the top of one ear to the top of the other ear. It often widens due to tension created by pulling together the entire thickness of the scalp. This scar may be visible when the hair is wet. Because the scar is generally behind the hairline after hair-bearing scalp is excised, elongation of the forehead can occur. Additionally, there is numbness of the scalp behind the scar. There are five small scars from the endoscopic technique within the hear-bearing scalp. These are usually well-hidden, but often associated with discomfort because of the scalp fixation to the bone beneath the scar.
